Second Semester Begins!

WHEEL PEOPLE
Dinnerware Sets/8 set of 8
All must be put in same kiln load.
-Dinner Plate
-Salad Plate
-tumbler
-coffee mug
-serving items
CONSIDER
What kind of food will be served? How does ones culture affect the shape, style, etc... of the serving set? Does the age of the person affect the color or form of the set? Could the socioeconomic status of the person eating off the set have an affect on what kind of pieces are made? Think about who you are making the set for! What do they eat? How do they eat? (Casually, formally, around the tv, in the car, etc...)

Cup/Form/Function

Beau Raymond
Beau was Debra Fritts studio assistant this summer. He has a great sense of humor and it comes through in his work. How does your personality influence the choices you make about your work? Think about it!!!

What makes a cup likeable? Is it how much it holds? Is it whether or not it fits in the drink holder of our car? Is it the color? Why do we like certain cups more than others? What cup gets used most in our house? Why? How does our culture influence the form? Why do cups look different in India, Japan, Thailand?
Check out this cup show
